Model S and Model X test drives are available at Tesla showrooms.
The first step is to request a test drive online and a product specialist will contact you to confirm your appointment. You must have a valid driver’s license and be over the age of 21 to test drive. While walk-ins can sometimes be accommodated, test drive appointments are limited so we encourage you to request, or schedule, your booking in advance. Please plan to arrive ten minutes before your test drive. If your Tesla showroom is located in a shopping mall, you’ll first be checked in at the showroom and then be given a brief overview before walking out to the garage. Test drives are approximately 15 minutes long and designed to demonstrate the unique capabilities and performance of a Tesla vehicle.
Tesla occasionally hosts test drive events for those who don’t live near a showroom. You can check out our events page to find regional test drive tours near you.
Tesla’s first priority on a test drive is the safety of our customers and staff. We reserve the right to prematurely end a test drive for any reason.
